Food Service Coordinator

The Director is responsible for the overall operations of the center. They are required to effectively operate and manage all aspects of the center including business management, financials, professional development, activities, marketing and communications. The Director is also involved in planning, evaluation and supervision of all programs; participation in the children's educational curriculum and activities and is responsible for the day-to-day planning of all programs.
The Director will supervise child care workers in their daily activities, conduct in-service training and participate in staff meetings to discuss methods of program evaluation and improvement. They are required to oversee and ensure consistent implementation of the curriculum and programs at the center. The Director is responsible for maintaining all records of the staff and children and to ensure that state compliances are met. The Director will study the needs of each child enrolled in the center; evaluate their specific needs and recommend changes to meet their needs. They will effectively train and support the teaching staff to develop and maintain positive staff and parent relationships. The Director is responsible for keeping tuition requirements and records up to date and establishing and maintaining a respectful working relationships with all licensing authorities.
The Assistant Director is responsible for management of the center in the absence of the director. The Assistant Director is also involved in the responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the center assisting the director as needed.
The Assistant Director will supervise the child care workers in their daily activities and participate in staff meetings to discuss methods of program evaluation and improvement. They will also study the needs of each child enrolled in the center; evaluate their specific needs and recommend changes to meet these needs.
Lead Teacher for Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers
The Lead Teacher's responsibility is vital to the success of the curriculum. Along with the Assistant Teacher, the Lead Teacher will work toward effective integration of the programs in their teaching. They will work together to develop classroom lessons, which involve the integration of the curriculum to enhance the learning experience for the children. The Lead Teacher will be involved in parent/child communications. They are required to develop and maintain positive staff and parent relationship.
Lead Teachers will be required to attend staff development sessions to increase their skills, creativity and experience for making the program integration in the classroom a reality.
Assitant Teacher for Infants, Toddlers and Preschoolers
The Assistant Teacher will help the Head Teacher in the integration of the programs within the classroom. Their participation should be positive, exhibiting a team spirit, working closely with the Head Teacher. In the absence of the Head Teacher, the Assistant Teacher will take over the responsibilities of the classroom. It is important that the Assistant Teacher participate in staff development sessions to increase their skills, creativity and experience.
The Food Service Coordinator will be responsible for planning, preparing and serving all balanced meals and snacks. All meals and snacks are required to meet the food program guidelines. The Food Service Coordinator is required to maintain a valid Food Service Certificate and is responsible for meeting state and local Health Department inspections. The Food Service Coordinator will maintain a weekly menu and inventory of all food service supplies, place orders and be responsible for submitting invoices appropriately. They must be able to lift 25 lbs. The Food Service Coordinator accepts temporary assignments in the center as necessary.
Transportation/Van Driver
The Transportation Driver must meet all licensing requirements for transporting children and maintaining their safety. They will ensure that all ABC ACADEMY Policies & Procedures are consistently implemented and that the centers vehicle is maintained and serviced properly. The Transportation Driver is responsible for keeping records of all vehicle maintenance and mileage and maintaining a safe and violation free driving record.
